Caroline is 3 1/2!

Caroline Jean- 42 Months Old

 

Caroline- you are such a fun addition to our family!  We absolutely adore having you as our baby.  You are full of spunk and personality and you have your brothers wrapped around your little finger.  You experience emotions so fully and we can usually tell what is going through your mind just by glancing at your face.  When you are happy, you are very happy and when you are sad, you are very sad.  You love to play with your toys and dollhouse and play very well by yourself.  That being said- I think that you will miss Henry next year when he is in school full time.  You two are best of buds and enjoy playing together.  You're favorite days are "just girl" days on Tuesdays and Thursdays when Henry is at school and you have me all to yourself.  You are very much still a momma's girl, but you think that daddy hung the moon.  You tell me several times a day that daddy will fix this or daddy will fix that.  We are so happy to have you for our little girl, sweet Caroline!

At three and a half years, Caroline is 3ft, 5 in tall (93%) and 42lbs (95%).

 

 What is Caroline up to at 3 1/2 years?

- sleeps from 7:30pm- 7am

- no longer naps, but does take a 30 minute snooze in the car 2-3 times a week

- loves her dollhouse toys, barbies, princesses, dolls, books, and stuffed animals

- eats almost anything!  she loves rice, chicken fingers, mac 'n cheese, grilled cheese, fruit

- is fully potty trained during the day

- attends physical therapy once a week to strengthen her left side

- wears a size 4-5 clothes and a 9.5 in shoes

Thomas is Nine

Thomas Nathan- Nine Years Old

 

My precious Thomas- what a joy you are to us!  You amaze us daily as we watch you turn into the boy God created you to be.  You have a kind and generous heart and care deeply about your family and friends.  You love sports and have amassed an amazing amount of trivia in your head!  Football, baseball, and basketball are your favorites to watch and you love to play soccer, baseball, and basketball.  There is nowhere you'd rather be than outdoors- you can spend hours out in the yard playing your own games and exploring.  You are patient (most of the time!) with Henry and Caroline and usually convince them to play whatever you want- they just want to hang out with you.  It has been a fun year of watching you grow and develop and learn.  We are so proud of you! 

At nine years old Thomas is 4ft 9inches tall (96%) and 70 pounds (72%).

What is Thomas up to at 9 years old?

- sleeps from 8:30pm-  6:45am

- eats almost anything!  favorites are peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, spaghetti, chicken fingers, fruits

- has lost 8 teeth

- plays soccer, basketball, and baseball

- favorite subject at school is science

- reads Jonathon Rand books, "Bones" series, non-fiction science books

- wears a size 5 in shoes and size large or 10/12 in clothes

Thomas's Birthday

Thomas chose to eat at Red Lobster for his birthday and then we came home to open presents and eat cake!  We loved celebrating our Thomas!

We celebrated with the Plaisier side the weekend after his birthday- it was another fun night spent with family!

Thomas's Party- the Details

Thomas decided that he wanted a hockey party for his ninth birthday- so a hockey party it was!  Here are some pictures of the details.

 

Basketball- Go Comets!

This was the first year that Thomas was able to play Y-ball and he loved it.  He played with a group of 3rd and 4th grade boys from school.  The final game was Comets vs. Comets and his team won!  It was a fun way to end the season!
