Big Boy Bed!

For Tommy's birthday and Christmas gift Papa and Grandma Debbie bought him big boy bunk beds. We picked them up today and I wasn't planning to put them up yet, but Tommy was so excited that we assembled one tonight for him to sleep in. He has been asleep for a few hours now and we haven't heard him yet- we'll see how the night goes!

Night- night!

He looks so little in his big bed!

What a good fake sleeper!

Tommy Turns 3!!

On Tommy's actual birthday he was pretty worn out from his weekend of celebrations, but we still managed to make the day special.
My mom and I took him to Build-a-Bear in the morning, followed by lunch at Treat Street. He also managed to convince Grandma Debbie to look around the mall with him and buy him a book and new jammies :)

He was very happy with his choice to make a bunny who has been named, officially, "Bunny."

Filling Bunny with stuffing.

Fluffing Bunny up.

Riding home with Bunny. He was exhausted tired, but still managed to insist on lunch at his favorite place- Treat Street.

That night Nathan and I took him to Logans for dinner- he wanted to go to the place where you can throw the wrappers on the floor :)

This is a horrible picture, but he was so proud to go stand by the waitress and have her announce that it was his birthday. He was beaming!

Opening presents from Mommy and Daddy. His favorite was a Thomas the Train "computer" that he loves. He told me the other day- "hold on mommy, I have to check something on my 'puter quick." We have had to implement a rule that there is no checking of the computer during dinner.

Happy Birthday Tommy!

Tommy's Birthday Party- Plaisier Side

The day before Tommy turned 3, Sunday, we had a party for him at our house with the Plaisier side. He is the only grandchild on that side and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of being the center of attention.

Auntie Sarah gave him a card that sang. It was a huge hit!

Trying out his new umbrella!

Watch out- here's the future tennis star!

Listening to everyone sing.

Blowing out all of the candles! He insisted on purchasing the Thomas the Train Birthday Conductor ribbon at the store and was very proud to wear it to both of his parties :)

New rain gear!

Tommy's Birthday Party- Batts Side

The Saturday before Tommy's 3rd birthday we celebrated with a party at our house for the Batts side. We had lots of fun with all of the cousins, but my camera battery died part-way through so I am a little short on pictures. Here's what I do have though...
Here's the table all ready for the party!

The cousins decorated their own party crowns- there were LOTS of sequins, stickers, and glitter! Here's Ellie working hard on hers!

I did get a picture of the cake, just not any of him blowing out his candles!

I revived a classic game from my birthday parties as a child- here is the "Fishing Pond." It was a BIG hit with the kids and Tommy has already requested that it comes back for Mommy's birthday :)

Tommy ready to open gifts with help from cousin Annaliese!

Opening his helicopter! Daddy and Tommy have had lots of fun with that new toy!

Cooper's First Birthday

Our dog, Cooper, turned one today and Tommy was SO happy that we had to throw a party. Here is the "cake"- rice with sprinkles on top and two dog treats (picked out by Tommy) on top.
We also had to head to the party store to purchase plates and napkins for the big event. These are what we came home with.

Of course, as Tommy pointed out, Cooper couldn't blow out his own candles so Tommy had to do it. Here we are singing to Cooper.

Blowing out all of the candles!

Eating his cupcake :)

Even though Tommy picked out both of Cooper's presents this morning he still acted suprised when he opened them (because Cooper can't open presents without any hands!)

A blue dog bone!

The birthday boy! Happy Birthday Cooper!

New Baby Cousin!

Andrew Elwood Bol was born on February 1 weighing 8 lbs, 6 oz! We are so excited about the new family member!

The Bols- what a beautiful family! The big sisters are SO proud of their new little brother!
