Two Weeks Old

Henry is already two weeks old! It's been a busy week as we all continue to adjust to a new family member and Henry continues to experience several "firsts." He's had his first real bath, his first trip to church, his first outing to the mall, first trip to a restaurant. Funny how the second child experiences these firsts much younger than the first child did :)

Henry is a good baby and loves to look around and check out his surroundings. His eyes are WIDE open most of the day and he isn't fussing or crying, just wants to see what is going on. It's hard to put him down when you are holding him because he just lays and stares at you with his big eyes! He eats about every 3 hours during the day and does one 4 hour stretch at night.

Henry had his two week old check up this afternoon (so actually 2 weeks and 2 days). He is 9 lbs, 6 oz (75%), 22" (95%), and his head is 14 3/4" (75%). Tommy didn't have a 2 week visit so I only have his 1 week stats to compare, but at 1 week Tommy was 8 lbs, 2 oz, 20 1/4", and his head was 14.3".

Henry loves his baths which is funny since Tommy always screamed the entire time!

He is always trying to suck his thumb, but has a hard time actually getting it in his mouth. Here is one of the first times he was successful. He was so happy!

One Week Old

It's hard to believe that Henry is already one week old, but at the same time, it is hard to remember life without him. It's been a busy week full of firsts- first bath, first walk, first doctor visit. He's met lots of people that love him and been busy sleeping for the most part! He's sleeping in two solid 3 hour stretches at night and has about 2 awake periods during the day. It's been quite a week at our house! We love him lots!

Tommy's Second Day of School and Henry Pictures

Tommy insisted on pictures before we got in the car to go to school today so here is a picture of him on his second day of school. It could be a long year if we have to document every day :)

Tommy's First Day of Preschool

On Tuesday, Tommy had his first day of 3's preschool. Mommy and Daddy went with and met his teacher, explored the classroom, and met his new friends. He had a great time and seems excited to go back!

Henry Christopher

Henry Christopher joined our family on Saturday, September 12- 2 days after his due date. He was born at 1:47pm and weighed 8lbs, 14oz and was 22" long. Daddy was very happy that he arrived in time for the Michigan- Notre Dame kick-off :) He has been a good baby so far and he looks very much like Tommy. We are so in love!!
