Preschool Graduation

Today was Tommy's big day!  He had a graduation program and ceremony this morning to celebrate his accomplishment in finishing 2 years of preschool.  The program was fun to watch and it was cute to see all of his friends and think about how far they have come in the last couple of years.  I will admit to getting a little choked up when I thought about how quickly time is flying :)

Slip and Slide

Hard to believe with the cool weather this week, but last week we had some HOT days!  One of the afternoons we got out the slip and slide and let the boys at it!  It was fun to see their personalities come out- Henry jumped right in while Tommy was a little more cautious about the entire thing.  They played for almost 2 hours in the freezing water before sitting down to a picnic dinner.

Outdoor Fun!

Now that it has finally warmed up a little bit, we are spending alot of time outdoors!  The boys are loving all of their outside toys- bubbles, chalk, bikes, scooters...  It's fun to watch them explore and play.  Here are some pictures of them enjoying the sunshine!

Tommy received this new baseball toy from my parents the other day and has been practicing non-stop.  He is convinced that he is headed to the Detroit Tigers soon :)

Both boys have been having fun with the "M-Den" playhouse this year.  Henry seems to love that it's their own little space and walks in and out, in and out, over and over.

The sandbox is finally here and installed!  In the past week it has been played with every single afternoon for at least an hour- something about boys and dirt!

And of course, any afternoon outside needs to be followed by a good bath with lots of splashes!

Kangaroo Kick Kickers

Well, another season of the Kangaroo Kick Kickers is upon us.  Soccer started back up again two weeks ago and we are having fun watching Tommy play with his friends!  I don't know that they improved much over the winter, but they sure are enjoying it!

Nature Center Field Trip

Last week Tommy's preschool class went on a field trip to the Kalamazoo Nature Center.  Tommy absolutely LOVED exploring the trails with all of his buddies and had to be restrained from taking over as the guide.  He loves everything about God's creation and it's fun to listen to how many facts he has retained!  Since my mom was nice enough to watch Henry for me, I was able to enjoy some time with just Tommy which was a nice treat.
