A Day Out with Thomas

Anyone who knows Tommy knows how much he LOVES Thomas the Train. He talks, watches, and plays Thomas about 90% of his waking hours. We've even heard him talking about the engines in his sleep. Today we took him out to the Island of Sodor (aka Flint, MI) to spend the day with Thomas. He was SO excited!

Just look at his face! He could hardly stand to turn around long enough to have his picture taken.

On the train- waiting for it to start.

Waiting with Daddy.

Watching out the window- he was captivated for the entire 40 minute ride.

The really useful engine in action!

Tommy waved and waved to the driver when we got off.

Tommy was so happy to hug Sir Topham Hatt- he's been talking about it the whole rest of the day.

Daddy and Tommy with Sir Topham Hatt!

Tommy was telling anyone who would listen a really long story about each of the engines. I think he could have been a tour guide today. :)

Tommy wasn't sure about this slide, but anything that looks like Thomas must be fun!

So fun!

They had tables set up with all sorts of engines and tracks. I think that Tommy would have stayed there for hours if we had let him. He was thrilled that we were able to see the water tower, the signal man, the conductor, and the engines. We had a great day with him- and he had a great time on our big trip to Sodor!
