Two Months Old

Caroline Jean- Two Months Old

This age is so much fun!  Caroline is such a sweet, happy baby.  We love watching her little personality emerge more each day.  She is so smiley- the boys are always rewarded when they take the time to talk to her- she flashes one of her big toothless grins :)  It's hard to believe that she is already two months old- sometimes I wish that life had a pause button.   We sure love our little girl to pieces!

She is 23.75" long (95%), weighs 10lbs, 11oz (25%), and her head is 15.25" (50%).
Her brothers were a little bigger:
Tommy was 24" long, weighed 12lbs, 12oz, and his head was 15.94".
Henry was 24" long, weighed 12lbs, 5oz, and his head was 15.75".

What is Caroline up to at 2 months?

- She eats every 2-3 hours during the day- about 5-6 feedings a day.
-She sleeps through the night consistently!!  Usually 8:15pm- 8:15am (she probably could go longer, but I have to wake her to bring Tommy to school!)
- Naps are a little more predictable- a short morning nap, a longer afternoon nap, and sometimes a cat nap around dinner time.
-She wears size 1 diaper and size 3 month clothes.
-She smiles often and is trying to "talk," but it requires alot of effort!
-She loves to sit in her baby seat and bat at the toys hanging from it.  She is a wiggle worm when she is awake!
-She is alert more often and for longer periods of time.

Meeting Great Grandma

Grandma Plaisier had not met Caroline yet, so yesterday we went to my parent's house after church to introduce Caroline to her Great Grandma.

I found this picture so funny!  My parents recently went on a vacation and have a slideshow of their pictures. Tommy has watched it at least 5 times and couldn't wait to show it to Nathan.  Henry loves to watch it too!

The best we could do getting a picture of 4 generations.  Oh well :)

Life Lately

Here are some pictures from the past couple of weeks that didn't really fit in anywhere, but capture our everyday life!

Tommy drew an elaborate chalk drawing on the driveway a couple of weeks ago and Henry was trying to "help"  It didn't go too well :)

Love big bows on my baby girl!

I went to get her from her nap one afternoon and found that she had managed to break loose from her swaddle blanket!

Henry is completely infatuated with "ze bebe" as he calls Caroline.  The novelty hasn't worn off at all.  He is actually very good with her and pets her gently and kisses her constantly.  We often find him peeking at her like this :)

Henry busy doing some yard work- he loves his little wheelbarrow and we find all sorts of treasures in it!

Soccer

Tommy played soccer again this fall.  It is always fun to watch him and Nathan enjoys being the assistant coach for the team.  It was a little chilly and rainy for several of the games, but Tommy didn't seem to mind the weather and Henry and Caroline were good troopers about watching big brother play!  Here are a few pics from the season.

Tommy loves trying to defend the goal.

Henry wants to play on the team SO badly.  His turn will be here before we know it!

Running!

The team!

Pumpkin Painting

This afternoon we decided to take advantage of one of the last nice days and paint pumpkins outdoors.  It's a good thing we did it outside- paint and boys are not a very clean combination!  They had a great time- it was cute to see how serious Henry was about his pumpkin.

Getting started

Tommy had finished his pumpkins and moved onto painting leaves.  At least it kept them both busy for over a half hour!

Love that he still has those little baby dimples on his hands :)

Tommy's finished pumpkins

Busy working

Henry's almost finished pumpkin

Wow!  What a mess! (and the handprint on the doorframe did come off!)

Six Weeks Old

Six weeks ago our lives were abruptly changed!! Time is certainly flying!  She is starting to fill out a little bit and is outgrowing some of her clothes.  It's fun to see a little personality start to emerge and her brothers love to work a smile out of her.  We love our little girl so much!

Caroline Jean- 6 weeks old
She's starting to bat at her toys and kick and swing her arms lots more when she is in her seat or her activity gym.
She needs to be all swaddled up to sleep :)
We wouldn't change any one of the 3,628,800 seconds we've spent with her so far!
