Henry's Two Year Old Stats

I took Henry to the doctor today for his 2 year old check up.  He was such a good boy!  He was so excited to get weighed and measured, but was very concerned why they didn't put Caroline on the baby scale.  He helped the doctor use the stethoscope and opened his mouth wide for her and everything.  There were no tears until it was time for the flu shot and even then he was more mad than actually hurt.  I was so proud of our Henry- he's growing so fast!

At 2 years Henry weighs 31lbs (75-90%) and is 34 1/4"(50%) tall.  At the same age Tommy was 32.4lbs and 37" tall.  So their weight wasn't very different, but Tommy was almost 3" taller.  The doctor said to expect a big growth spurt out of Henry in the next few months as his height catches up to his weight- we'll see!

One Month Old

Caroline Jean- One Month Old

We are SO in love with our little girl!  She quickly worked her way into all of our hearts and we can't imagine life without her!  The past month has gone so fast- it's been a crazy month trying to figure out the logistics of three kids, remembering how much attention a newborn needs, and trying to fit in all of the snuggles that we want.  Tommy and Henry love their little sister and are constantly checking on her.  She is a good baby and we love her to pieces!

What is Caroline up to at 1 month?

- She eats every 2 1/2-3 hours during the day and does one longer stretch at night.  Usually it is 6-7 hours, but it's been as long as 8!

- She goes to bed around 10:30 and wakes up around 7:30- getting up once to eat

-She wears size 1 diapers and 0-3 month clothes.  The newborn size still fits, but is getting a little tight

-She loves to be held and rocked

-To sleep at night she needs her swaddle blanket to keep her arms from flying up and waking her up.

-She loves to look at the lights and toys on her activity gym and her bouncy seat.

-She HATES her baths and screams the entire time.

-She is a noisy sleeper- she wimpers and moans while sleeping and in order to fall asleep.  When she gets worked up over something her cry has lots of "snorts" in it- her brothers find it pretty funny!

Henry's Owie

Henry has the cutest personality- he keeps us smiling and it's hard to stay upset with him.  Lately he's been really into "owas"- his word for owies.  He kisses his own and any that he notices on anyone else.  To get a kiss from him, all you have to do is point to your cheek and tell him that it's "owa" :)  Here's a video of our Henry!

Three Weeks Old!

I can't believe how quickly time is flying!! Caroline is already 3 weeks old.  We are starting to see little glimpses of her personality and she is trying to smile.  She's managed sort of a half smile if she works really hard!  She is a good baby and puts up with the constant love and attention from her older brothers.  She's also a good little sleeper and even had a 7 hour stretch one night this past week.  We are so in love with our little girl!  God has blessed us abundantly!

Build a Bear

For Henry's birthday my mom took the boys to Build a Bear.  Henry had been before, but this was the first time he really "got" it.  It was cute to see how excited he was!!

Happy 2nd Birthday Henry!

Our  Henry turned 2 on Monday, September 12 and we celebrated with the Batts family on Saturday night and the Plaisier side on Sunday night.  On his actual birthday he opened his presents from mom and dad (with lots of help from Tommy) and had cupcakes.  It was a fun birthday and it was neat to see him slowly get the hang of the presents and candles and cake as the weekend progressed!

Happy birthday Henry!!  You bring lots of joy to our lives!

Caroline's First "Real" Bath

Caroline's umbilical cord fell off so she was finally able to "sit" in the tub!  Tommy was really excited to help and he also played photographer for the big event.  Caroline did not like her bath at all- she screamed the entire time!

Two Weeks Old!

Time is flying!!  Somehow Caroline is already 2 weeks old.  We're starting to venture out a little bit and we are still adjusting to having 3 kids!  Caroline is a good baby- she is sleeping up to a 6 hour stretch at night which is wonderful!  She is also a good sport about letting her brothers hold her and pet her.  They are both still pretty in love with her! 

She went to the doctor for her 2 week appointment yesterday and looks great!  She is 8lbs, 3oz (50%) and 21" long (90-95%).
