Nathan's Birthday Celebration

The Sunday before Memorial weekend we headed to my parents' house for Nathan's birthday celebration!  It was a HOT day and everyone was happy to fill their tummies and then head out by the pool!

Cousins

Caroline is only 3 months older than her cousin Andrew and we are having such a great time watching them grow together!  I don't have cousins close to me in age, so it's such a nice blessing that each of my kids has a cousin that is very close to them in age.  We find it so funny to see the Caroline and Andrew interact and look at each other- I'm sure they will have some enormous fights in the years ahead, but hopefully they will also be close friends!

Caroline is constantly poking and patting Andrew.  It almost looks like she is thinking that he is such a little baby (and she is so grown up!)

We have a sitter!

It was a long time coming, but Caroline is officially a sitter now!  She got better and better throughout the last month and now can sit unassisted for a long time.   I love this age when they can sit up and play with all of their toys!

Field Day

Last Friday Tommy had his first field day at school.  It was pretty low key for the kindergarteners- lots of relay races, sack races, etc.  He had a great time and won an award for being the most dry after the sponge race :)  His friend's mom sent me this picture and I thought it was cute- such concentration!!

Nine Months Old!!

Caroline Jean- 9 months old

I can't believe that our little girl is already 9 months old!  Where did the time go?!  She is a happy baby, only really getting fussy when she's tired or hungry.  She is truly a mama's girl and is extremely wary of strangers.  She also strongly prefers females to males (other than her brothers!).  This was a big month for her as she became a true "sitter" and it opened up a whole new world of observing the action around her.  She loves to be a part of things and is getting louder and louder as she explores what those vocal cords can do!  We love our sweet Caroline!

At 9 months, Caroline weighs 18lbs, 9oz (40%) and is 28" long (59%).  Her head is in the 80th percentile.  At 9 months, Henry weighed 21lbs, 0oz (50%) and Tommy weighed 24lbs, 4oz (95%).  Henry was 28" long (50%) and Tommy was 29 1/2" (75%).  Both boys' heads were 18" (75%). 

What is Caroline up to at 9 months?

- She goes to bed between 6pm and 6:30pm each night and sleeps until 6:30 or 7am.  No night wakings!

- Naps are from 9-11am and then again from 1:30-4pm.

- She is down to only one nursing a day (in the morning) and then also eats 24oz of formula and 3 meals of baby food.  Each meal is usually two containers of baby food or one bowl of cereal.

- She is eating most of the stage 2 foods now, but we haven't tried any table foods.  Favorites are apples, oatmeal, and orange veggies.  Hates avocados and blueberries! 

-She is in size 3 diapers and 9 month  or 6-12 month clothing. 

-She can sit unassisted now!  She also waves!

- No teeth yet!

- Lots of babbling and baby talk- she also is really into making funny noises with her mouth (clicking, kissing noises)

Happy Birthday Daddy!!

Nathan was traveling over his birthday so the boys decided to surprise him with cupcakes when he got home.  They decorated them by themselves :)  Henry was REALLY into the birthday celebration- he sang Happy Birthday on the phone to Nathan and keeps randomly breaking into song again for Nathan.  It was a pretty low key party for daddy, but the boys loved it!

Soccer Star

Soccer season has started up again!  Tommy is playing in the U06 Coed division and seems to be enjoying it a little more this spring than he did last fall.  I laughed when I saw these pictures because we have been encouraging him to be more aggressive and the look on his face shows that he is definitely trying!

Cutie Pie

My mom saved a few items of my clothing from when I was a baby.  One of the items was this precious little dress that was a baby gift from my Grandma and Grandpa Plaisier.  I snapped some pics of Caroline wearing the dress the other day- enjoy the smiles!

Mr. Fix-It

Henry is obsessed with tools.  He loves to follow Nathan around and mimic everything he does.  For Easter, Henry got a toy leaf blower from Nonnie and Papa to add to his growing tool collection.  He added his own "power cord", threw on his safety goggles, and he was ready to go!  He has been busy cleaning up any mess he can find with his leaf blower!
