Seven Months Old!!

Henry Christopher- 7 Months Old

Seven months old already!  Closer to his first birthday than the day he was born...  It's always amazing to think of what we were doing last April- beginning to prepare and plan the nursery- waiting until the end of April to see if he was a girl or boy.  Here we are a year later and it's like he's always been a part of our family.  He's developing such a sweet and fun little personality.  He loves to be part of the action and we've dealt with some crying at bedtime now that he realizes he is missing out on things while he sleeps.  He absolutely adores Tommy and watches his every move.  He also loves Cooper, the dog.  He squeals with delight whenever Cooper walks into sight, and Cooper loves the attention.  Tommy and Cooper are having fun with their little brother, but I'm not sure either of them is prepared for once Henry can move around on his own!

Henry's unofficial weight at 7 months is 20.4 lbs.  He's looking chunkier every day!

What's Henry up to at 7 months?
  • He sleeps from 6:45pm -7:30am every night.  We occassionally hear some talking in the middle of the night, but he never wakes up to eat.  He has had to cry himself to sleep a few times in the last month, he doesn't seem to want to miss too much of life!  It only happens when he is extremely over-tired.
  • He drinks about 32 oz of formula a day and eats 3 meals of solids.  At each meal he usually eats two containers of baby food or one container and a bowl of cereal.
  • He's tried all of the stage 1 baby foods- bananas and green beans are the definite favorites and he absolutely hates peaches.  His entire mouth clamps shut and he refuses to open it again when I try to serve him peaches!
  • He naps at 9:30am for about 1 1/2 hours and again at 1:30pm for about 2 1/2 hours.  He will sometimes still sneak in a third cat nap around 5pm.
  • He's in size 3 diapers and 6-12 month clothes.
  • He rolls both ways frequently and can sit on his own!  He says "da-da-da-da," and is babbling quite a bit more.  He likes to sing in the car with Tommy.  His favorite games are SO BIG and pattycake.  He loves his excersaucer and his swing and absolutely LOVES all of his little toys.
  • He has his two bottom teeth in!

Look out World!

We have a sitter!  He isn't very stable yet, but he can do it!  He is cute because he isn't sure what to do with himself once he is sitting- he just sort of sits there and looks around.  Tommy isn't too sure about it either- he usually asks me to please lay Henry back down :)

If you look closely at this picture you can see Henry's two bottom teeth that have appeared in the past few weeks.  He is also doing his "airplane" trick which he thinks is hot stuff!

Toys, Toys, Toys

Here is what happens when you ask your 4 year old to please get some toys for his little brother...

Henry lasted about 5 minutes before the over-stimulation was too much.

Easter

We had a wonderful Easter!  Tommy was at a fun age this year because he was SO excited about all of it!

Tommy won a drawing at Tot to Teen for a stuffed Easter bunny.  He was so proud and excited!

Dyeing Easter eggs!  This year we just did it without a shirt on to avoid a big mess.

Daddy and his boys.

Tommy and Henry

It is incredibly difficult to get a picture of 8 kids!  The cousins- Bridgette (3), Tommy (4), Audrey (8), Andrew (1), Madelyn (9), Henry (6 months), Ellie (6), and Annaliese (5).

Found one!

Grandma Batts and Henry

My parents got back from Florida late on Sunday so we celebrated Sunday evening with the Plaisier side.  Here's Tommy opening his basket from Papa and Nana Debbie!

Henry got lots of love and attention too!

West Palm Beach

This Spring Break we were fortunate enough to be able to join my family in West Palm Beach, Florida.  The boys and I stayed for a week and Nathan was able to be there for a long weekend.  Everyone was coming and going on different days, but my entire family was able to be there for a weekend which was so fun.  We loved hanging out with everyone and enjoying the sunshine!  Tommy has already asked when we can go back on 'cation.

Henry's first airplane ride.  He didn't do too well on the flight down, but he did really well on the flight back home.  I'm so glad that Nathan was able to help on the trip there and my sister, Kristina, was able to fly back home with me.

Henry's first swim.  He did not enjoy it and it was the only swim he took the entire week.

Tommy on the beach!

Burying Papa in the sand!

Can you find Tommy and Papa?

Dinner at Cheesecake Factory after a long day swimming.

We celebrated my 30th birthday while we were all there.

Tommy wanted to wear his sunglasses just like his daddy.

Jumping in the water!  Tommy learned to swim without his cube on this trip which was really exciting!  He's not super reliable yet, and not always super confident, but he can do it!

Henry in his stroller at the marina! (and in his Easter bunny jammies!)

One of Tommy's favorite things of the whole trip- dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.

My boys at the beach

Tommy played with his cars in the sand for hours- so cute!

I love this picture-  Tommy and my dad worked for HOURS on this canal/ hole thing.  Whenever my dad would try to take a break, Tommy would say, "Dig, Papa, dig!"  Obviously, Tommy allowed himself some breaks, however (while supervising)!

The finished creation!

My beach bum took naps all week in a cabana by the pool or on the beach under the umbrella.  It worked out perfectly!

Loving the water!

So tired by the end of the day that he would fall asleep just about anywhere!  We had a wonderful week!

My Boys

I have tons of pictures from spring break to post, but thought I would share these of the boys in their Easter clothes!  I brought them in to have Henry's 6 month pictures and Tommy's 4 year old pictures done and here are the results.  Henry was in a great mood the entire time and Tommy insisted on showing his "cheese" smile, but I think that the pictures do a good job of capturing the boys' ages and personalities.  Enjoy!
