Halloween

It was a COLD Halloween this year!  There was snow about an hour before we set out!  We trick-or-treated at Uncle Chris and Aunt Rachael's, Nonnie and Papa's, and Gigi and Juju's house before heading to church for Trunk or Treat.  Thankfully church's activities were moved indoors!  After passing out candy at church we quickly headed home and did some of our neighborhood.  Caroline only lasted for a few houses, but the boys did a few streets before they got too cold.   We had a fun night!

Thomas went as Tom Brady from the Patriots.

Henry went as Spiderman.  All my pictures of him are of his "spiderman moves" :)

Caroline was not really into pictures.  She kept complaining that she was too cold.

Pumpkin Carving

Wednesday night we had both sides of our family over for our pumpkin carving party!  Everyone carved pumpkins out in the garage (glad Nathan was home this year to help- I didn't do any carving!) and then we had dinner.  It was a fun night with cousins!

Nonnie's Halloween Scavenger Hunt

Nonnie and Papa always have a Halloween dinner for the kids a few days before Halloween, but this year Nonnie added a scavenger hunt to the dinner!  The kids had such a great time!  We hopped in the mini-van and were given a packet of clues to tell us where to go.  The first clue led us to:

Speedway to pick up Slushies!

The second clue brought us to the Dollar Store to get toothbrushes to clean our teeth after all of our Halloween candy.  The third clue was Bigby's for the moms to get coffee (boring for the kids, but fun for me and Kristina)!

Clue 4 led us to Walgreens to pick out any candy they wanted.

Clue 5 sent us to Old Navy to get big bouncy balls out of the machines at the store.

Clue 6 was the merry go round at the mall- so fun!

And, the grand finale was Toys R Us to pick out a toy!  Tommy picked a telescope, Henry picked a garbage truck, Caroline got a Strawberry Shortcake doll, and Andrew picked a Mickey tool set.  So much fun!

We finished off the night with dinner at Nonnie and Papa's house- what a fun, fun night!

Pumpkin Party Playdate!

Henry has been asking for a few weeks to have some friends over, so I decided that Halloween week would be the perfect time!  We had lots of friends over (14 of them!) and their moms (8 of them!) to make for a full house, but it was super fun!  We ate a mostly orange lunch, worked on a pumpkin sticker craft, and played with all of our toys.  It was a great chance to catch up and for the kids to play with each other.  Happy pumpkin week!

The cookies and cupcakes were a big hit!

Lots of orange!

Lots of pumpkins!

One table of friends!  Abby, Elise, Inga, Caroline, Titus, and Liesel enjoying lunch.

More friends!  Bennett, Mackenzie, Nathaniel, and Henry enjoying their food.
