Ocean City

Over Memorial weekend we went with Nathan's family to his uncle's place in Ocean City, Maryland. We had a great time swimming at the pool, playing on the beach, and just seeing family. One night we headed down to the boardwalk where Tommy rode one of the rides- one ride was more than enough for him!

Tommy, Grandma Batts, and Mommy on the hotair balloon ride. Tommy started crying halfway through, when it ended he did his sign language for "all done" and when we had gotten off, he said "ooh" like he was such tough stuff!

We stopped in Raleigh on the way home to visit Tyson at boarding school. Tommy loved seeing him again and Tyson gave him lots of kisses!

Strawberry Picking!

Here's the little strawberry picker! He actually sort of understood the objective, but it was difficult for him to pull hard enough to get the strawberries, so he had to sit down to gain some leverage. He ended up with about 20 strawberries in his basket- I was impressed!

This is Tommy's reaction to the petting zoo at the farm. He didn't get much closer than this and he didn't pet any of the animals, but he enjoyed watching all of them.

Tommy's favorite part was the tractor ride. He didn't talk or move, he just held my hand and smiled like that the entire 10 minutes!

Our Little Dancer

Tommy loves to dance around the house and his favorite new toy is his maracas that play music! We aren't sure where his dancing gene comes from- must be the Batts side :)

Our weekend project!

This weekend we put a brick patio and some flowerbeds in the backyard. Here is Tommy showing off the final product!

Papa Plaisier was a huge help- I'm not sure he'll want to visit us again if we keep making him work this hard!

Tommy was also a HUGE help with the project and loved every minute of it!
