Happy New Year!

New Year's Eve we celebrated with friends- it was such a fun night!  We set the kids up in sleeping bags with a movie and the adults did fondue and played a game.  We were hoping some of the kids would fall asleep, but most of them were awake to ring in 2015 with us!

We did a pretend countdown for the kids around 8:30- they loved the noisemakers!

She was thrilled to use the new sleeping bag she got for Christmas and to hang out with the big kids :)
We had such a fun night!  It was a great way to end 2014!

Michigan Basketball Game

Santa brought the kids Michigan basketball tickets for the game against Illinois.  The fun part was that some of the cousins and the VerKaiks also had tickets in their stockings!  The stars aligned and this ended up being the day Jim Harbaugh was announced as Michigan's new football coach.  The air was electric on campus and it was a really fun day to be a part of!

At dinner, we discovered that Devin Gardner (Michigan's quarterback) was eating at the next table.  He was incredibly kind and agreed to have his picture taken with 9 super excited kids.

He signed autographs for all of the kids- they were so excited.  Thomas declared it to be the best day of his entire life :)

Batts Christmas

After a relaxing Christmas day, we headed over to Nathan's parents' house around 4 for presents and dinner!  It was a fun night and a great way to finish off our celebrations!

Christmas Morning

One of the perks of celebrating so late at my parents' house is that the kids usually sleep in a little bit on Christmas morning.  This year we headed downstairs a little after 8am.  Caroline was a little overwhelmed by all of the Christmas, but the boys enjoyed every last second of it!

One of Tommy's last minute requests (thanks to watching Polar Express), was a bell from Santa's sleigh.  He was kind enough to leave them each one :)

Nathan built Caroline a "wardrobe" for dress up clothes and we stocked it with a few new dresses for her.  She loved it!

Plaisier Christmas

We always celebrate Christmas Eve with the Plaisier side.  This year we headed over to my parents' house a little after 4 for some appetizers and a few gifts, went to church at 6, and then headed back to their house for dinner and more presents.  It is such a fun night to spend with family and to watch the kids' excitement.  We had a great time this year!

Thomas asked me to take his selfie before presents :)
