Family Dinner at Black Swan

One of our favorite family restaurants in Kalamazoo for special occasions has always been Black Swan- Nathan and I had our rehearsal dinner there and we've celebrated lots of Christmases, anniversaries, and birthdays there. Unfortunately, they are changing their name and their "atmosphere" at the end of the summer so we decided to celebrate one final dinner there. It was a belated celebration for Kristina's birthday and since it was the week of Dan and Kristina's first anniversary we also celebrated that. It was a fun night!
Tommy got his first "Roy Rogers" drink and he was pretty proud. Based on his behavior at the restaurant I'm not sure that it wasn't spiked though :)

Celebrating one year of wedded bliss!

Kisses for Auntie Sar- his date for the evening

Walking outside with Papa after dinner to see the swans and ducks.

Swimming Fun

This summer we've had alot of fun swimming in our pool and at Papa and Grandma Debbie's pool when the weather has cooperated! Tommy loves to swim and jump and is a little fish in the water. A few weeks ago he invited all of his cousins over for a pool party- even complete with popsicles! They had a blast!
Taking a breather with cousin Ellie.

Getting ready to go back in.

Big jump- he is convinced that he does back flips just like his Uncle Chris :)

Another cool trick off the diving board!

Fourth of July

We had a wonderful and relaxing 4th of July spent with family. The weather was gorgeous and we were able to spend most of the day outside. Tommy LOVES the fireworks and all of the parties so he had a great time. He was so exhausted from all of the fun that he slept until 10am on Sunday morning- an all time record!

Sparklers!

In the afternoon we had Nathan's sister and her family over for a picnic. Tommy had fun with his cousins, Bridgette, Annaliese, and Andrew. Next year Andrew will be old enough for a popsicle too!

Floating in the pool!

Tommy convinced me that we needed the super pack of fireworks from Meijers. He was so proud of his purchase and had a blast putting on a show that evening at the party at Trisha's parents' house.

Showing off his huge muscles.

Tommy loves being center of attention as the only kid on the Plaisier side of the family. Here he is showing off his jumps off of the diving board.

All smiles :)

Another jump!

Lighting fireworks with Papa

More sparklers

Last few weeks as a family of three!

To finish off the day Aunt Kristina, Papa, Mommy, and Tommy walked down to Whites Lake to watch the fireworks. After each one Tommy exclaimed, "I love that one!" He had a great day!

Fort Wayne Children's Zoo

Last week we went down to Fort Wayne, IN to visit friends and check out the children's zoo. Tommy had been there before, but since he was only a few months old he certainly didn't remember it! I'm not sure why I didn't get any pictures of adorable Ashley, but she was there (in her stroller most of the time!) and Lily. Lily took Tommy under her wing and the two were big buddies all day! It was fun to explore the zoo and even more fun to catch up with good friends.

Plotting their course for the afternoon.

Stuck in the mosquito netting!

Tommy was so proud of himself after riding "Gayle" the pony.

Tommy only wished that the horse would have gone faster :)

Petting Gayle

Of course, Tommy's favorite part of the day was the ride on Old Smokey the train.

Last stop- brushing the goats!

The Best Part of Summer is the Ice Cream!
