Fishing

Last Saturday we spent the day up north with Nathan's Aunt Jane at her place on the Little Betsie river. Look at the enormous fish Aunt Jane caught! It's almost as big as Tommy! Tommy had fun "fishing" with daddy and Aunt Jane and then napping in his sleeping bag like a big boy. It was a relaxing afternoon- thanks Aunt Jane!

Gooey, Sticky Chocolate!

Tommy "helped" make brownies last week. He had a blast once he realized it was the same as the gooey, sticky chocolate that Percy the train encounters in one of the Thomas the Train stories.

Of course, licking the spoon and the bowl was pretty fun too :)

And, when mommy turned around for a minute, this seemed like a great idea too!

Bike Ride

For weeks now we have been attempting a family bike ride. It has required a TON of preparation (new bike seat for Tommy, major tune-up for Trisha's bike, etc.), but tonight we were able to go for a short little ride after dinner. Tommy loved every minute of it!

"Cheeeeese!!"

All geared up in his helmet (Thomas the Train, of course) and knee-pads. He was determined to wear them since they came with the helmet. Safety first! :)

End of Summer Fun with the Cousins!

Last night Bridgette and Annaliese stopped by for an impromptu picnic in the backyard. As summer winds down, it's fun to squeeze as much out of it as possible!

Corn on the Cob

Tommy usually has a strong opinion on the vegetables we purchase from the produce section when we are grocery shopping. This week he selected corn on the cob- or as he calls it "popcorn." He loved it!!

Labor Day Weekend Fun!

Labor day weekend was so fun!! We were busy, but we had a chance to do lots of cool stuff. Here are some pictures of what we've been up to the last few days!

On Sunday afternoon we headed out to South Haven with Chris, Julie, Annaliese, and Bridgette. It was a great day for the beach!! We had a blast and the kids did so well! Tommy loved the water and playing in the sand.

On Monday we headed to a Tiger's game with Trisha's family. It was a hot day!! We had a great time cheering on the Tigers!

Tommy had so much fun!

Tommy and Grandma Debbie on the merry-go-round at the stadium. He loved it and managed to talk his grandparents into riding it 4 times. I think he missed most of the game.
