January in Review

January has been a good month.  We've spent alot of time cooped up indoors which has been a nice excuse to play with all of the toys we got for Christmas and just to be together.  Tommy has spent the month obsessed with the Wii and his new Mario Kart game.  Henry decided to actually start walking at 16 1/2 months which was SO exciting.  He is at a great age and has several funny mannerisms and words that make all of us smile.  The boys are starting to play together more and more which is fun to watch.  It's been a fun, snowy month here at the Batts' house!

Every baby needs a picture of them eating spaghettios :)

Silly boy

Henry has become a daddy's boy and loves when daddy gets home from work!

Tommy (wearing his favorite shirt) got Hungry, Hungry Hippos as a gift and we have played approximately 9,998 games of it.  Even Henry likes to play!

Henry at 16 months

Henry LOVES to take everything out of the kitchen cabinets.  His favorite is to get a spatula or spoon and then "cook."  He stirs and stirs, then blows on it so that it doesn't get too hot!

Video of the Wedding

My father-in-law was kind enough to film this short clip of the ring bearers (Tommy and Henry) and flower girl (my cousin, Ella) at the wedding.  Enjoy!

The Wedding!!

Here are the pictures from the main event!  It was absolutely beautiful and they did a fantastic job planning and organizing everything.  We are so very happy for Trevor and Sarah and wish them a lifetime of happiness!  Thanks for letting us be part of your big day!

Events Leading up to Sarah's Wedding

Sarah and Trevor were married on New Year's Eve and we had a wonderful time celebrating them!  I had to break the event up into two posts and it still is VERY picture-heavy.  There were just too many good ones to share though!  Here are some of the pictures from the stuff leading up to the actual event.

The afternoon before the wedding, Kristina and I hosted a bridesmaids' luncheon at my house.  It was fun to see everyone and catch up- here are some of the desserts :)

Henry and Tommy were both ring bearers.  At rehearsal- Henry would not stay seated in his wagon unless he had candy.  M&Ms were nixed early on for obvious reasons (see above!) and we had to move to plan B- Gummy Bears.  He has such a sweet tooth!

The next morning we all met at the beauty shop to get our hair done!  Here is the bride on her wedding day!

We had a wonderful lunch at a good friends house.  It was fun to sit down for a little bit and get some food in our stomachs!

After the luncheon we headed to my parent's house to help Sarah get ready.  The dining room table was covered with all of the programs waiting to be brought to church!

Sarah's dress waiting to be slipped on.  Isn't her hanger adorable?!

Christmas Afternoon

Christmas afternoon we headed over to Nathan's parent's house for our last Christmas party.  We had a great time opening gifts, eating a delicious dinner, and spending time with everyone.  The excitement with 8 kids ages 10 and under is contagious and it was a wonderful time!

 Henry with cousin Madelyn

Henry in his new chair!  It has his name on the back, but he is covering it up :)

Uncle Chris, Tommy, Daddy, and Henry (who was asleep) all got matching Lion's jerseys!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning we slept in and then headed downstairs to see what Santa brought!  The reindeer made a mess of their carrots in the backyard which Tommy thought was pretty funny!  It was so nice to relax and enjoy our time together opening gifts and eating breakfast!

Tommy was checking out the mess the reindeer left and Henry was slowly making his way over to the window to look!

Opening stockings!

Henry has become such a daddy's boy in the last month or so- he would only open his gifts sitting at Nathan's feet.

Tommy always steals Nathan's headphones when he is playing out in the garage, so Nathan bought him a pair of his own.

The rest of the morning was spent playing with all of the new toys!  Since we had gotten home so late the night before they enjoyed putting together all of their gifts from the Plaisier side too- this racecar ramp has gotten lots of use from both boys!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we celebrated with my family.  We had a wonderful dinner, went the the Christmas Eve service at church together (which was way too long for Tommy!), and then headed back to my parent's house to open gifts.  Henry didn't last too long, but he did enjoy watching us open his gifts for him.  He also ate lots of cookies.  Tommy loved every moment of gift opening- especially his favorite gift- a zhu zhu pet :)

Henry loves tools and has spent lots of time playing with his new toolbench!
