Thomas Nathan

My sister, Sarah, was kind enough to snap some pictures of Tommy a few days ago. She did a great job and I love that the pictures captured the age and stage we are truly at right now. :)
Tommy was NOT too into this at the beginning!

One of my favorites!

I love this little boy!

Henry's Baptism

Sunday was a special day for our family as we celebrated Henry's baptism. It was a wonderful morning and a great reminder of the Lord's faithfulness to all generations.
In front of church

Receiving the baptism

Three of Henry's cousins- Madelyn, Ellie, and Audrey- sang "Shine on Us." They did a great job!

After church everyone came to our house for dinner. Here are four of the cousins eating at the "kids' table."

Grandma and Papa Plaisier

The Plaisier side (poor Sarah had a broken nose- ouch!!)

Great Grandma and Grandpa De Vries (and Henry's namesake)

Grandma and Grandpa Batts with all of the grandkids (minus Andrew)

The Batts side (minus Chris Bol and Andrew)

Kisses from big brother

Trisha wore the ring for her baptism and the chain was Papa Plaisier's from his baptism.

Kalamazoo Holiday Parade

Saturday was a gorgeous fall day and we headed out to the Kalamazoo Holiday Parade! Tommy loved it and was right up in front with all of the other kids. His favorite thing was a man dressed as Frosty the Snowman.

Having fun!

Two Months Old

Henry Christopher- Two Months Old

He is growing so quickly and changing every day! He had his two month old check up at the doctors yesterday and is looking healthy as can be! He had 3 shots and one oral vaccine and he was MAD about it! He seems to have survived the ordeal though :)

He is 24" long (75-90%), weighs 12lbs, 5oz (50-75%) and his head is 15.75" (50%).
Tommy was also 24" long, but a little bigger at 12lbs, 12oz. Tommy's head was 15.94"

What is Henry up to at two months?
  • He eats every 3 hours during the day and does longer stretches at night. Usually it's about 6-7 hours, but he has done 9!
  • He sleeps from about 8pm - 7:30am getting up to eat once.
  • His naps are getting more predictable- a morning snooze, a long afternoon nap, and a quick third nap around dinner time.
  • He still tries to get his thumb in his mouth, but has learned to keep a pacifier in his mouth and that seems to do the trick. He especially loves his "wubbanub"- a pacifier with a small stuffed frog attached to it.
  • He is just starting to wear size 2 diapers
  • He is in mostly 3-6 month clothes and even a few 6 month outfits.
  • Smiling and cooing are getting easier and coming faster.
  • He loves to lay and bat or kick at things and can watch his mobile for several minutes at a time.
  • He still loves his baths- it's one of my favorite times of the day with him.

Halloween

Tommy the Toucan!
(it really was a parrot, but he thought it was a toucan so we went with it)

Henry's first Halloween in his pumpkin hat!

The boys- Halloween 2009

Tommy with cousin Ellie

Tommy with cousin Audrey and Madelyn.

Pretending to be a woodpecker...

Nathan the pirate with his talking parrot.

Instead of saying trick-or-treat Tommy would make his toucan chirpping noise and then say thank you in a deep voice which I guess is how a toucan talks. It was pretty funny! :)
