Swim Class

Tommy has been taking swim lessons for 3 weeks now and each week he is getting a little more confident. It's fun to watch him learn to enjoy the water.

Waiting his turn on the steps.

Practicing kicking!

Ready to jump- he jumps right in and goes all the way under!

Waiting again :)

Trying to float on his back.

I love this picture- he spent several minutes trying to balance the ring on his head. I'm not sure what they were supposed to be doing, but it sure wasn't this!

Plaisier Easter

Every Easter my parents host a large egg hunt with over 1000 eggs. Tommy is finally old enough to really have fun with it and the weather was perfect for an egg hunt this year! We had a great time!

Tommy in his Easter suit at Grandma Debbie and Papa's house.

Isn't he adorable?!

The whole gang ready for the hunt- this year we had 15 hunters. Nathan has now been promoted from hunter to egg hider and Tommy's helper :)

Opening up his eggs with Daddy.

Helping pass out prizes.

Helping Auntie Sar count her eggs.

He had such a good time that he kept asking to be the last person to leave the party- when I went to get him to leave I found him sleeping on Papa's lap. He was exhausted after his big day :)

Batts' Easter

On the Saturday morning before Easter we got together with Nathan's side of the family for breakfast and an egg hunt. Tommy had fun with his cousins as always and enjoyed the hunt!

Searching in the bush.

Got one!

Opening up his loot!

Easter Eggs

Friday morning Tommy and I worked on making some BEAUTIFUL Easter eggs. I didn't get any pictures of us working on them since I was busy cleaning up spills and "supervising," but here are the finished results.

Tommy is so proud of his eggs- he has been eating at least 3 a day and keeps asking to make more.

Fredrick Meijer Gardens

On Thursday last week Grandma and Grandpa Batts took all of the cousins to Fredrick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids to see the butterfly exhibit. Tommy had a great time!

The best picture I was able to get of all the cousins! Madelyn, Bridgette, Audrey, Ellie, Annaliese, and Tommy. Andrew was sleeping in his stroller.

Looking at the butterflies and moths in the children's area.

Rolling down the huge hill outside- it was one of the favorite parts of the whole day :)

Palm Sunday

On Palm Sunday Tommy made his church singing debut up front with the Children's Worship Center singing "Make Me a Servant." We were so proud of him! He also got to wave a palm branch. Here are a couple of pictures before church- he wasn't too happy.
He always asks if he can wear a tie like daddy and then feels bad that mommy doesn't have a tie too- he offered to buy me one next time we are at the mall :)
