Camping 2011

For our summer vacation we decided to head up to the UP camping again.  We had a great time last year and were excited to go again.  We did bring Henry this year, which added a chaotic element to everything, but he had fun and we were glad to have a chance to do this before the baby shows up!  We ended up leaving a day later than planned due to Henry having a throat virus and predictions of rain, but I think that 3 nights was plenty to sleep in a tent at 35 weeks pregnant :)  Nathan's brother and his family were able to join us which added to the fun!  It was a great trip and while I wouldn't have predicted it, I really do have fun camping with my boys!

Loaded up and headed north!

I do the packing, Nathan is in charge of the set up and tear down.  It works for us :)

Ready for smores

When your child doesn't sleep all night in the tent and both boys are up at 6am- you end up taking them in their jammies to look at Lake Michigan and throw donut holes to the seagulls.

Also, if your child doesn't sleep all night- this is what happens while everyone else is eating breakfast :)

Henry LOVED all of the snacks that went along with camping.  He was a whirlwind of activity and didn't allow me to take as many pictures as I would have liked, but it was a fun little get away and we are so glad we went!
