Four Years Old!

4 Years Old

I feel like we blinked and Henry turned 4!  He has grown and changed so quickly in the last year.  There isn't any toddler left (other than a little thumb sucking!) and he is truly a little boy now.  He has such a love of life and wakes up every morning ready to go! 

He is a daddy's boy and loves to spend the afternoon puttering around the garage or basement workshop with a bottle of glue and some scraps of wood.  He will usually choose to go with Nathan over staying with me like the other two tend to.  He is a little jokester and is constantly teasing and playing little jokes.  He acts pretty tough, but would give anyone the shirt off of his back- he is incredibly generous and considerate. 

He worships Tommy and loves to follow him around.  He's willing to play anything Tommy suggests as long as it means he gets to play with him.  However, like a good brother, he knows Tommy's "buttons" and isn't afraid to push them!  He still loves Caroline more than anything- he cannot wait to wake her up in the morning and insists on helping to tuck her in for her nap and at night.  He is constantly touching her "fluffy" hair :) 

 Henry is such a unique personality with a natural charisma- God must have big plans for this sweet little boy with the big heart!  We can't wait to see what is in store for our Henry-bean!

At four years old Henry is 41 3/4" tall (79%) and 42lbs (88%).  At the same age, Tommy was 42 1/4" tall and weighed 40lbs.

What is Henry up to at 4 years old?

 

- He sleeps from 7:30pm-7am.  He is my worst sleeper and gets up a few times a night- he starts in his bed, but I usually find him in Tommy's other twin bed or in Tommy's own bed in the morning. 

- He is struggling with naps- we're in that horrible transition phase.   Some days (maybe every other) he naps from 12-1:30/2ish.

- He goes to school Tuesday and Thursday mornings for 2 1/2 hours.  He struggles with drop off and usually has to be pulled off of me, but does fine within 30 seconds of my leaving.

- He is fully potty trained during the day, but not at night yet.

- He LOVES orange juice, quesadillas, fruit snacks, grilled cheese, mac n cheese, waffles, eggs, and chicken nuggets.  He HATES just about anything that isn't a food listed above :)

- He still sucks his thumb (the left one) and sleeps with a large stuffed lamb.

- He loves to "woodwork" and play around outside- planting stuff, moving things around, riding his John Deere, collecting bugs.
