8 Years Old

Oh, our sweet baby boy, we love you so very much!  I honestly cannot believe how quickly the past 8 years have gone.  I love getting to know his personality and feel like we can make some pretty good guesses as to what he will be like as an adult.  He is a kind, smart, and loving person.  He tends to over-analyze things and worries more than we wish he would.  It's been fun this school year to watch his friendships develop and grow deeper- I love that these are the friends he will have through these elementary school years.  He has turned into quite the sports fanatic and loves basketball, baseball, and soccer.  He is a patient and loving older brother- Caroline and Henry both bask in his attention.  We pray daily that he will continue to grow and learn and maintain his hunger for the Lord.  While I miss the baby/toddler years with him, I am so very proud of the sweet boy he has become.  Happy number 8  precious boy!

At eight years old Tommy is 54" tall (94%) and weighs 64lbs, 12oz (80%).

At 8 years old Tommy:

 

- goes to bed around 8 and reads until 8:30

- is still my early bird!  He is almost always awake by 6:30.  On the weekends he'll sometimes sleep until 7am

-he is a good eater and constantly hungry- he loves granola bars, peanut butter toast, peanut butter sandwiches, fruit, water, milk, spaghetti, hamburgers, and school hot lunch

-plays soccer and baseball

-is a reluctant reader

-enjoys science and loves learning about animals

- has lost 6 teeth

-wears a size 10 or large in clothes and a size 2 shoe
