Oh, what a fun week we had! It was a great time spent with family and we loved every minute of it. We enjoyed a week in West Palm Beach with my family. This was the first year we drove and we were a little nervous of how the kids would do, but it went as well as it possibly could have. Here are lots of pictures of our fun!
We hit the road bright and early (4am) and had a couple of hours under our belt before we stopped for breakfast in Fort Wayne.
Busy on her computer
I was extremely nervous about the long drive, so we had small (dollar store) presents for each child as we crossed into each new state.
We stopped around 7pm for dinner and to sleep. We had a hotel with an indoor pool which helped to burn off some of the restless energy.
Rise and shine sleepy-head! Time to hit the road again!
Couple of helpful bellhops!
By lunch the second day we all were starting to feel a little like this :)
The LONG drive was worth it when we arrived and were able to hop right into the water!
The boys spent a couple of hours lizard hunting!
The boys spent one morning fishing and Henry and Tommy were able to go with. I think both boys would say this was one of their favorite things of the whole week.
The kids participated in the crab races one morning.
Auntie Sar and Henry
Henry really wanted me to take his picture like this. I have no idea where he saw this pose, but he thought he looked very handsome :)
Uncle Trevor and Caroline were big buds all week.
Our family
Caroline's favorite part of the trip may have been the birds- she talked about it for weeks.
She did not enjoy having the birds on her though!
The boys chose to have balloon sharks made.
Nonnie and Papa bought each boy their very own hermit crab. They were so excited! Tommy named his Conko.
Henry named his Bob. Unfortunately, Bob passed away on the drive home. It was terribly sad. Good thing Nonnie and Papa were able to pick up a new Bob and drive him home for us!
We broke the drive home up into two days again. It was nice to stop and relax after a long day in the car!
We had such a wonderful time and loved being able to unwind and relax with some of the people we love best! What a fun vacation!
