At the end of August, Nathan and I headed out for an early 10th anniversary trip to Amsterdam and Gothenburg. My parents were kind (or crazy) enough to watch all three kids, so off we went! It was such a wonderful time of relaxing, exploring, and falling in love all over again! It was a wonderful time and I am so thankful that we were able to make it happen. It was the longest I had been away from any of the kids, so I missed them like crazy, but they did great. Here are a few pictures of our adventures!
We left Detroit late Tuesday afternoon and made it to Amsterdam on Wednesday morning. After a quick nap at the hotel we hopped on the train and headed to the city!
The canals were amazing
We bought tickets for the hop on hop off canal boat and it was fun to see the city that way!
The next morning we took the train back into the city and picked up a quick breakfast of chocolate croissants :)
Thursday was spent with more exploring, walking, and canal boat rides. We also took in the Body Works exhibit (more for Nathan than for me!).
Friday morning we took a quick flight to Gothenburg, Sweden. Nathan has been spending a lot of time here in the past year or so for work, so it was fun to see the city that he's been going to. The weather while we were here was cold and a little rainy, but we still had fun exploring!
Gothenburg is also a city full of canals, so we took another canal boat tour.
Early Sunday morning, I began my journey home and Nathan stayed behind to get some work done. This trip was such a blessing and it was one of my favorite memories- what a fun way to celebrate 10 years of marriage!
