Three Years Old!

3 Years Old

 

I really cannot believe how quickly three years has gone!  Caroline is no longer a baby at all, and in fact there isn't too much toddler left in her either!  It's been so fun to see her grow into a little girl and we're enjoying all of the fun (and drama) that little girls bring!  She is a fiercely independent little girl- several times a day I hear "I do it!"  She loves her Tommy and watches him with a little bit of awe always.  Henry is her buddy.  She loves to play with him and wrestle him.  It's been a rough transition for her this fall with Henry gone two days a week.  I hear "Where Henry go?" at least every 20 minutes.  She is a tough tomboy who isn't afraid to get dirty or stand up for herself, but she can't stand to leave the house without her bow in :)  This cute little blondie has stolen all of our hearts and she is so much fun!  We love you sweet Caroline!

 

At three years, Caroline is 39.25" tall (92%) and weighs 39lbs, 12oz (96%).  At the same age, Tommy was 39.5" (90%) and weighed 35lbs (80%) and Henry was 37.5" (42%) and weighed 38lbs (93%).  Just for fun- I was 37.25" tall and weighed 31.5lbs.  

What is Caroline up to at 3 years?

- Sleeps from 7:30pm-7am without waking. 

-Attempts to nap from 1pm-2:30pm, but is struggling with that.  If she doesn't nap, she is asleep for the night between 6:45-7pm.

-She loves fruit of any kind, but especially raspberries and strawberries. 

-She is a good eater and not very picky at all.  She loves sitting down to dinner with the entire family.

- She mostly wears size 4 clothes and size 9.5 shoes.

-She is almost all the way potty trained and pretty reliable in her undies.

-She struggles with speech and is going to therapy with Miss Cathleen every other Wednesday. 

-She is also going to start physical therapy with Miss Bethany every Wednesday to try and strengthen her left leg and try to compensate for her "knock-knees"

- She loves her baby dolls and any little figurines or people.  She will play with her doll house for hours by herself.  She also really enjoys coloring.

- She is much more dramatic than the boys were at this age.  If she has in her head that she needs a certain cup or plate she will throw a fit until she gets her way.

-That being said, she is a great sport about being dragged all over town after her brothers and loves to ride in the van and watch her movies.
